چکیده
Advancement and application of rule-based expert systems have been a key research area in explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) because the rule-base is one most common natural frameworks for knowledge representation. The present work aims to design novel system, called Cumulative Belief Rule-Based System (CBRBS), by establishing efficient modeling inference procedures, where procedure includes generation cumulative belief rules via numeric data transformation extended rule integration, consistent activation activated integration. All these procedures enable CBRBS better achieve balance explainability, high-efficiency (or computing complexity), accuracy fit with different scenarios, as well overcome limitations classical systems. Extensive experiments based on well-known pipeline leak detection problem open-source classification problems are conducted illustrate feature advantage over other some commonly used classifiers.

Online Fault Detection and Isolation Method Based on Belief Rule Base for Industrial Gas Turbines
Real time and accurate fault detection has attracted an increasing attention with a growing demand for higher operational efficiency and safety of industrial gas turbines as complex engineering systems. Current methods based on condition monitoring data have drawbacks in using both expert knowledge and quantitative information for detecting faults. On account of this reason, this paper proposes...
متن کاملApplying a belief rule-base inference methodology to a guideline-based clinical decision support system
A critical issue in the clinical decision support system (CDSS) research area is how to represent and reason with both uncertain medical domain knowledge and clinical symptoms to arrive at accurate conclusions. Although a number of methods and tools have been developed in the past two decades for modelling clinical guidelines, few of those modelling methods have capabilities of handling the unc...
متن کاملThe Cumulative Rule for Belief Fusion
The problem of combining beliefs in the Dempster-Shafer belief theory has attracted considerable attention over the last two decades. The classical Dempster's Rule has often been criticised, and many alternative rules for belief combination have been proposed in the literature. The consensus operator for combining beliefs has nice properties and produces more intuitive results than Dempster's r...
متن کاملBelief rule-based inference for predicting trauma outcome
A belief rule-based inference methodology using the evidential reasoning approach (RIMER) is employed in this study to construct a decision support tool that helps physicians predict in-hospital death and intensive care unit admission among trauma patients in emergency departments (EDs). This study contributes to the research community by developing and validating a RIMER-based decision tool fo...
متن کاملMerging rule-based belief databases
The problem of revising a belief database is treated in many classical works. We will consider here the problem of merging two belief databases (BDBs for short) Ψ1 and Ψ2, operation that will be denoted byΨ1 Ψ2, and whose result will be a new BDB. Since belief not necessarily reflects the actual state of the world (as opposed to knowledge), both BDBs could be incompatible. The goal is to constr...
